Walworth Hardware is turning the page.
Following nearly 63 satisfying years in business it is time for us to change with the times. Due to decreased traffic and a challenging business landscape, we will be cutting back our hours preceding the closing of our business. The Hardware store will be open Thursday & Friday 08:00-5:00 & Saturday 08:00-12:00. Please take a moment to stop in and see if there is anything you could use. Our final closing will be Saturday, July 30, 2011.
We apologize for any inconvenience, yet it is not financially feasible to keep our doors open. A changing local economy compounded by the rising cost of doing business in NY, high taxes, skyrocketing utility bills and lackluster sales have all contributed to our decision.
We have enjoyed serving our many friends of Walworth & surrounding communities for several generations; this is not a decision that we take lightly. We would like to thank everyone who has shopped locally and always made the extra effort to support the "little guy", it's simply not like it used to be years ago! We have always taken great pride in what we do & we will miss the satisfaction that has come from years of serving this great community. Thank you all so much, and please wish us luck as we turn the page on new endeavors.

Our Generator Sales & Service Division is STILL OPEN & WILL NOT BE AFFECTED. Generator sales and service has been handled by New York State SitePower Corp. since 2005. New York State SitePower Corp. is located right next door to Walworth Hardware (offices are currently under construction). You'll have the same people & same great service & support. There will be no changes to existing service contracts, or the way you contact us. All service requests for Generator Sales & Service will still be handled by New York State SitePower Corp. right here in Walworth. If you own a generator from Walworth Hardware, please update your records to reflect our most current information:
